Spent a lot more time on Taurus today. It’s looking more like spring…which is actually when we experience the sun going through the sign of Taurus.
My coloring progress for today:
[Select an image for a larger view]
1 – started adding blue to the background of concentric circles
2 – did all but the center blues
3 – done with adding the blue
4 – added light purple and yellow to the “daisies”
5 – start coloring every other taurus symbol with yellow/orange in the center
9 – full view of today’s progress
6 – continue coloring every other taurus symbol throughout the mandala
7 – full view of progress so far
8 – add the same coloring of the already done taurus symbols in the “donuts” of the symbols awaiting coloring
I was able to fill in a lot more sections today and got through half the Taurus symbols. After coloring the first symbol I realized that this version of Taurus wanted to have the symbols represented in two different colors.
Coming up next? Add shading to daisies and pink “bands”, add shadows on green backgrounds, and finish coloring the remaining Taurus symbols (I think they’re going to be purple).
My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways
For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits.
Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it.
As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
