Added some more details to the 5″x7″ Observe Mandala using gel pens and then applied some varnish.
My progress today:

1 – start adding details to “grass blades”
2 – finished the “grass blades” and the whole piece
3 – sprayed a thin coat of varnish
Today I added pink hearts to the four “gold people” and then finished off the “grass blades” with some gel pen details. Next I sprayed on a thin coat of varnish to lock in the ink. Once that sets, I can brush on the liquid varnish. Without spraying first, the ink tends to smear. (learned that one from personal experience)
