Today’s Mandala
Movement
“It takes a lot of courage
— Alan Cohen
to release the familiar
and seemingly secure,
to embrace the new.
But there is no real security
in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security
in the adventurous and exciting,
for in movement there is life,
and in change there is power.”
“Growth is an erratic forward movement:
— Julia Cameron
two steps forward, one step back.
Remember that and
be very gentle with yourself.”
“Nothing is more revealing
— Martha Graham
than movement.”
Today’s MotD inspires us to move, whether that be physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. Even the smallest of movement can have a dramatic impact.
Take a moment to ponder in what areas have we been idle, stagnant, blocked, procrastinating, etc. Is there a project that we have put on hold for too long? Is there some form of personal development that has been pushed down the ”to do” list because other things seem ”more important”? Is there an area where we’ve wanted to broaden our knowledge or experience and yet have repeatedly talked ourselves out of it because of some form of fear or whatnot?
Now more than ever, it’s time to step forward and create some movement. Maybe today is the day that we create a rough draft of a plan. The mere fact that we are giving something our attention, helps turn the gears of manifestation a little bit further along than where it was yesterday. And tomorrow we can take the next step.
A little bit of movement every day creates momentum and progress. Before we know it, we’re rolling along to completion.
“It is better to have a bad plan
— Garry Kasparov
than no plan.”
