Today’s Mandala
Links
“Love is the crowning grace of humanity,
— Petratch
the holiest right of the soul,
the golden link which binds us
to duty and truth, the redeeming principle
that chiefly reconciles the heart to life,
and is prophetic of eternal good.”
“Our most basic common link
— John F. Kennedy
is that we all inhabit this planet.
We all breathe the same air.
We all cherish our children’s future.
And we are all mortal.”
“One does not substitute oneself
— Paul Cezanne
for the past,
one merely adds to it
a new link.”
Today’s MotD reminds us that we are all connected, one to another, in one way, shape, or form. As well, all of our individual experiences are linked within each of our lifetimes, one event to the other. Without one link, the chain of events would radically be different, our connections to others would radically be different.
From this day forth we’re being asked to consciously ponder the nature of the links we want to add, both personally and collectively. How do we want the connections to evolve? What role can we play, what action can we take to radically change our lives towards the direction we so want it to go.
