Today’s Mandala
Playful
“It is requisite
— Thomas Aquinas
for the relaxation of the mind
that we make use, from time to time,
of playful deeds and jokes.”
“Your soul is infinitely creative.
— Debbie Ford
It is alive and expansive in nature.
It is curious and playful,
changing with the tides of time.”
“
— Miquel SicartThe main difference between playand playfulness is thatplay is an activity, while playfulness is an attitude.”
Today’s MotD encourages us to connect with our playful side, to approach what we do with an air of playfulness. Granted, certain events happening in people’s lives may seem like that’s the last place where we would inject some playfulness. And yet, have we not seen how a good laugh in the middle of a tense moment eases the pressure and makes for a calmer state thus allowing whatever that is unfolding to do so in a more conscious and clear-minded way.
We are encouraged to make time for play. It’s good for the body, mind, and soul.
