Today’s Mandala
Track
“Even if you’re on the right track,
— Will Rogers
you’ll get run over
if you just sit there.”
“You will be remembered forever
— Navajo Tradition
by the tracks you leave.”
“Dreams always appear bad
— Michael Bassey Johnson
when they come to put you
on the right track.”
Today’s MotD reminds us to be consciously aware of the track we’re traveling. Do we have a destination in mind? Is the current track going to get us there? Do we continue on this track or is it time to take a different one? Are we going in circles? Are we stuck at the end of the track? Do we need to create a new track, new destination?
Our challenge becomes being aware enough to know where we are, where we’re headed, and whether or not we’re on the best trajectory. Like pulling into a train station, it behooves us to know when to change trains and when to stay on board. When we’re busy doing all that we do, is all that we do helping us along our journey or delaying our arrival.
“Driving the train doesn’t set its course.
— Ed Catmull
The real job is laying the track.”
