Today’s Mandala
Nucleus
“The entire Universe
— Ramana Maharshi
is condensed in the body,
and the entire body in the Heart.
Thus the Heart
is the nucleus
of the whole Universe.”
“Plant the seed of desire in your mind
— Robert Collier
and it forms a nucleus
with power to attract to itself
everything needed for its fulfillment.”
“There is in us a lyric germ or nucleus
— Norman Douglas
which deserves respect;
it bids a [person] to ponder or create;
and in this dim corner of [ourselves]
[we] can take refuge
and find consolations
which the society
of [our] fellow creatures
does not provide.”
Today’s MotD encourages us to go within, to our core being-ness, to the essence of who we are. Too often we are inundated with distractions, delusions, and denigration, most of which we tend to do to ourselves, losing sight of what’s real about ourselves. Our challenge becomes being able to recognize and trust the truth about who and what we are…at our core.
Michael A. Singer, who wrote “The Untether Soul”, states: “begin to notice who is experiencing the experience. Eventually, you will get to a point within yourself where you realize that you, the experiencer, have a certain quality. And that quality is awareness, consciousness, an intuitive sense of existence. You know that you’re in there. You don’t have to think about it; you just know. You can think about it if you want to, but you will know that you’re thinking about it. You exist regardless, thoughts or no thoughts.”
“To know thyself
— Socrates
is the beginning of wisdom.”
