Today’s Mandala
Voyage
“The result of the voyage
— Albert Schweitzer
does not depend
on the speed of the ship,
but on whether or not
it keeps a true course.”
“The real voyage of discovery
— Marcel Proust
consists not in seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes.”
“It is not the ship
— George William Curtis
so much as the skillful sailing
that assures the prosperous voyage.”
Today’s MotD reminds us that our existence on Starship Earth is meant to be a fantastic voyage into exploring all of our opportunities, possibilities, and potentialities while in human form and a limited environment.
Our challenge becomes making the most of our lives while we here: explore, learn, grow, take chances, try new things, etc. Come at it with a new vision, seeing our lives mores as an adventure than a drudgery. If we were to make our lives into an adventure movie, what would happen next? What would we as the hero of our story do? What treasure would we go after? Know that it is our story to write and experience.
From LifeHack.org Daniel Wallen offers 22 tips on Getting the Most out of Life, which involves knowing what you would like to get from it in the first place. He concludes his post with this powerful statement: “Your life is what you make of it, so I challenge you to aim high and expect the best of yourself. Reach for the stars because life is too short to do otherwise.”
“You can’t move mountains
— Pink
by whispering at them.”
