22-358 Yellow

Today’s Mandala
Yellow

 “How lovely yellow is!
It stands for the sun.”

— Vincent Van Gogh

“Yellow is the perceived color
of sunshine.
It is associated with
joy, happiness,
intellect, and energy.”

— Marcia Moses

“In the world of safe hues,
like black, red and white,
yellow shouts:
“Look at me.
I’m happy!”

— Joy Sewing

Today’s MotD inspires us to embrace the positive energy of yellow. From SensationalColor.com about yellow they state: “Yellow is absolutely invigorating. It stimulates our nerves, glands, and brain, making us more alert and energized. Yellow boosts our memory, and it encourages communication. It’s a color that promotes activity and interaction.“ Our challenge becomes keeping the connection to our Inner Light open, to tap into it as our internal source of power, will, and intuition (our gut), and to harness this energy to follow through on whatever it is we want to create for ourselves.

In the Chakra (energy center) system about yellow: “…the color of the Solar Plexus chakra, also known as Manipura. This chakra is located in the stomach area and is linked to organs and muscular system in that area. The Solar Plexus chakra is representative of vitality and will. When this chakra is open, it acts to empower a person and help them find their personal strength. It will help turn dreams and goals into reality. Gemstones that will aid the Solar Plexus chakra include amber, topaz, citrine, yellow calcite, yellow jasper.” — SensationalColor.com

For additional help with this energy (digestive) center, the Chopra Center offers this in-depth post: Find Power & Energy in Your Solar Plexus.

While yellow does have some negative associations, we are encouraged to focus on its positive, uplifting ones: the sun, a source of energy, light, brightness, happiness, hope, spontaneity, joy, optimism, and creativity…just to name a few.

We are encouraged to embrace our Inner Light and then let it shine for all to see.

Blessings,
