Responsible Mandala #2
Continuing with Principle #1 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” about being 100% responsible for your own life, I set the intention today to adopt the affirmation: “I choose to act as if I am 100% responsible for everything that does or doesn’t happen to me”. The colors are more subdued than yesterday. It feels kinder and gentler. I was guided to color this one with color pencils (a softer medium) vs yesterday’s where I used markers (a bolder medium).
The sense I get from this coloring is that if I take this principle to heart (to my core), everything outside of me can be more readily managed; that thing’s will flow better, my responses to “happenings” will be calmer, and my handling of things will be more systematic and orderly. Seems like adopting this affirmation would serve me well.
How does this affirmation resonate with you?
“Most people— Sigmund Freud
do not really want freedom,
because freedom involves responsibility,
and most people
are frightened of responsibility.”
I invite you to color along with me this year as part of what I’m calling “The Year of Self-Exploration and Expansion” with all of my “Mandalas of the ___” (day, week, month, year). If you’re interested in more of a self-exploration approach to coloring, check out my “Coloring Mandalas as Meditation”.
Feel free to share you colorings on social media with the hashtag #2023MOTD. I’d love to see what comes up for you. I’ll be posting my colorings here on the MandalaoftheDay as well as on FB and IG (@themandalalady). On IG I’ll also be posting time-lapsed videos of my colorings.
