23-042 Supported #7

Continuing with Principle #6 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Become an Inverse Paranoid”, I set my intention to consider allowing myself to be supported. If this mandala looks familiar to you it’s because it’s a modified version of MotD 23-039. Ever since I created that one I been feeling pulled to add more to it…in particular black lines to make it look more stained-glassy and/or like wrought iron. Either way, it gives it more depth and energy that appeals to me even more than the original.

Mainly today’s message is about allowing myself to be supported. In my early years I learned rather quickly to be as independent as possible. Asking for help only seemed to cause problems. The downside to that is now in my adult years, I struggle with asking for help…I don’t want to be a bother…or…I beat myself up because I “should” be able to figure things out for myself. I’m realizing now it’s okay to ask for help, it’s okay for others to offer help, it’s okay for me to accept the help that’s offered. It’s okay to be supported.

So how about you? Do you allow yourself to be supported? Is asking for help something you struggle with doing? Do you allow others to help you?

“Do not suffer in silence.
Somebody somewhere is willing
and prepared to help
in any way to encourage,
empower, and support you.”
