23-060 Growth Zone #4

Today’s Mandala Message: Be willing to change our behavior.

I’m continuing with Principles #9 and #10 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Success Leaves Clues” and “Release the Brakes” respectively. Today I set my intention to focus on #10 and look at changing my behavior. It’s like that definition of insanity: keep doing the same things, expecting different results. If we want different results, we need (I need) to consider changing the way we normally do things.

Canfield states: “As long as you keep complaining about your present circumstances, your mind will focus on it…you will keep attracting the same people and circumstances that you have already created…To change the cycle…you must flood your unconscious with thoughts and images of this new reality.

With the coloring/painting of this mandala, I let go of the original, precise design, recreating it from scratch without a guide keep it perfectly symmetrical. Normally I color with more precision and carefulness. I painted and outlined this in a loose and messy fashion as a way to break (brake) out of my comfort zone. As I look it now, it feels like it’s breathing and/or moving. It feels alive.

So how about you? Are you willing to change how you do what you do as a way to break out of your comfort zone and into your growth zone? Are you willing to let your old habits go? Are you willing to “free-style” it and play?

“To change a habit,
make a conscious decision,
then act out the new behavior.”
