23-073 Act As If #3

Today’s Mandala Message: Go with the flow of your goal.

This week we look at Principle #12 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Act As If. For today’s MotD I set my intention to ponder going with the flow while acting as if. Part of “acting as if”, I realize, is going with the flow of what comes up differently…and then trusting it.

Earlier today while writing an email about an upcoming event I’ll be participating in, I found myself at the end of the email wondering what to write about asking people to come without it sounding desperate or needy. Words like “I hope you can come”, “I hope to see you there”, and even “It will be a great event” all seemed trite and empty.

Then I remembered this week’s principle. So I stopped for a moment, and asked myself “how would a confident, intuitive reader/channeler say what needs to be said at the end of this email?” It immediately popped into my head to say: “I looking forward to sharing with you the insights and guidance you seek.” Huge difference! No begging, no neediness. Just a simple offering of help. As if saying to the people on my email list…the ball (info) is in your court…what you do with it is up to you…I’m good either way.

So how about you? If you “acted as if” what would you say differently? How would you say things differently? How would you present yourself differently?

“The ride may not be smooth,
but when you go with the flow
instead of against it,
you are moving forward.
Do your best,
change what you can,
and after doing that,
let it go.”
