Today’s Mandala Message: Build on Your Wins
This week I’m working through Principle #26 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Acknowledge Your Positive Past”. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of beginning to look at “oh yeah, I have had successes in the past.” Canfield states: “Many people don’t think they have had any successes. They can easily tell you 10 ways the messed up in the last 7 days but have a much harder time telling you 10 victories they had.”
A couple of weeks ago I started a “Today’s Wins” journal. At the end of the day, I write down all the wins, big and small, that I experienced that day. It does give me a better perspective on my successes even if I’m only inching along…it’s still forward movement.
A good mindfulness practice would be to keep asking: what wins happened today?
So how about you? Do you tend to focus on your past failures or your past successes? Do you learn from your past failures and turn them into positives? How many wins did you have today?
