Today’s Mandala Message: Share the Wealth
This week I’m working through Principles #61 and #62: Give More to Get More and Find a Way to Serve of Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles”. We continue with more money principles (56-62) and our relationship with it. I set my intention today to ponder ways to share the wealth. Canfield states: “When you engage others in your success—when you share the wealth with them—more work gets done, greater success is achieved, and ultimately everyone benefits more. The key to the success of the ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul®’ series was our decision to involve more coauthors in the process.” While they received smaller royalties by involving more authors, they also made more money because they were able to “complete more titles, get more media coverage, and sell more books”.
Years ago when both my husband and I were working full-time jobs, it was challenging to keep up with housekeeping chores. We talked it over and saw that we could afford to have someone come in to clean every two weeks. I know my parents didn’t understand why we couldn’t do it ourselves— to the point, looking back now, that they were actually shaming me about it.
The point was, we were in a position where we could hire someone to do it for us…we would be helping them as they were helping us. I treated it as my small way of stimulating the economy.
And over time, I’ve learned to weigh my activities on a scale of “time vs money”. If I don’t have the time or don’t want to spend the time on something and I have some money to share/spare, I will gladly outsource the activity to someone else.
Honestly, I look forward to the day when I can hire people to help me with everything related to “The Mandala Lady” business. As a matter of fact, I going to start visualizing how I would want that to look and feel right now in preparation of the new year (2024).
A good mindfulness practice would be to consider ways you can ‘share the wealth’.
So how about you? In what ways are you able to “share the wealth”? With your time? With your money? With your wisdom?
“Share the wealth.

Give away what you most want.
Be generous with your
