Stability

“the strength to stand or endure”

With stability, I think of being grounded and secure. Then from that place, we can endure almost anything. Our challenge becomes discovering what helps us be grounded and gives us strength.

Mindfulness comes to mind. That by being present in the moment, assessing everything from a neutral, observer place, we put ourselves in a better position to know exactly what to do in any given situation. It won’t always be easy, some discomfort may be involved, we may even have to “rip off the bandaid”; however, in the end it will all work out somehow and for the greater good of all.

I also sense that true stability comes from knowing who we are at our core and owning it. I struggle with this concept. Intellectually I understand it. That if we are solid in our values and priorities, we create a world for ourselves that’s stable. That regardless of what’s going on around us, we know what to do, we know what’s important to us, and we focus on our purpose.

Essentially, whenever we lose our way we know to come back “home”, with the help of our Inner Guidance System.

How about you? Is stability a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with…

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
