Lesson 309 ”I will not fear to look within today.”

Message
“I fear to look within because I think I made another will that is not true, and made it real. Yet it has no effects. Within me is the Holiness of God.” (ACIM, W-309.1:4-7)
Today’s Lesson reassures us that there’s no need to fear looking inward. The Holiness of God is within us—even if we struggle to believe it. If that’s the case, then all we need is willingness to believe. Whatever we may have made up doesn’t change the fact that God’s presence is real and it’s there—”forever and forever.”
For me, this Lesson offers a different take on where the Holiness of God is. Up until now, whenever I’ve wanted to connect with God (Source, Universe), I’ve sensed God as beyond human form—in a different dimension or a higher vibrational state beyond my human senses. To connect, I would go within and then reach out energetically to someplace beyond me. I usually felt it at the top of my head, as if it was opening up to make the connection.
So instead of my usual approach, I set the intention to shift my attention to the Holiness of God within me. This time I felt an expansive energy from the center of my chest, behind the sternum. The more I focused on it, the more the energy grew. It felt like it glowed with a soft golden light. For as long as I could hold that focus, my thoughts were quiet. It was lovely and peaceful. I also felt that if I had a question or an issue, I could address it in this state and know I would receive some form of answer. Overall it felt comforting.
Going forward, I will continue to practice this form of connection.
