181 – Flock Mandala
British book binder, print maker, and artist, Louisa Boyd, created this mystical watercolour painting, entitled “Flock”, on the pages of her artist book, turning it into a delightfully delicate circular sculpture.
162 – Happy Sun Face Mandala
This delightful sun face and flowers watercolor painting is brought to you by Sharon Owens. Creativity and artistry run in her family.
161 – Ball Point Pen Mandala
French Art Direcctor, Jonathan Bréchignac, created this amazing piece of artistry on a prayer rug sized carpet entitled “Ultraviolet” using only blue and black Bic pens.
158 – Tomaselli Mandala
I first learned of collage/painter Fred Tomaselli while at our local library. Spotting a mandala image on the cover of a large art book entitled “Fred Tomaselli” caught my eye. He uses a variety of traditional art media along with conventional materials…like photos, vegetation and even pills.
154 – Ocean Convergence Mandala
For only his second Mandala painting, Buck Owens created a beauty, with mandalas within mandalas. Viewing this 32″x32″ acrylic painting entitled “Ocean Convergence”, I feel like we’re going deep within the ocean. I can hear the sound the bubbles make as we float down pass them.
151 – Raven Mandala
I love Elspeth McLean’s paintings. They pulsate with vibrant color. Of all her paintings, I chose this one for today because of the way she included an outside element (the raven) into her collection of mandalas.
