Artist Brian Dettmer carved out details in a set of encyclopedias and put them all together to form this delightful mandala-like piece of art. What would otherwise be an outdated set of books now becomes a visual merry-go-round of images that flash before us, giving us the world in pictures instead of words.

So much could be said here about Chihuly and is magnificent art however I invite you to just enjoy the visual experience of his sun instead.
