Now here’s some graffiti that lifts my spirits!

Recently, The Huffington Post featured Polish street artist, NeSpoon, and her mandala graffiti.  How much prettier and lighter this space is adorned with these delightful white mandalas. The whole area feels like its singing in joyous harmony.

For her art she uses laces (what I call doilies) as her foundation, hand made by folk artists and then made into clay or painted on the walls (or ground as seen in this photo).

From her behance.net page she states this about her art:

Why laces? Because in laces there is an aesthetic code, which is deeply embedded in every culture. In every lace we find symmetry, some kind of order and harmony, isn’t that what we all seek for instinctively?

Why street art? Because it gives freedom.

Now she’s got me eyeing some blank walls in our town that would definitely benefit from mandala graffiti. 🙂

Happy Coloring!
