My dear colouring friend, Michelle, is at it again with colouring mandalas. This time it’s the “Sisters” mandala from my Love and Light mandala coloring book. I always find her colourings to the delightful and insightful…so much so that I’ve showcased her colourings in previous MotD posts: 9, 15, 24, 86, 119, 142, 150, 159, 182.
Today I want to focus on how she coloured the same mandala twice and how different they both look. I asked her what was going on with each colouring. Turns out the top one she did while visiting her brother, Jeffrey, whom she absolutely loves and adores. While the bottom one she did in her own home. Notice the color differences, the texture differences and the differences in energy. There’s also the fact that 30+ days transpired between the two colourings.
I highly encourage people colouring their mandalas more than once. Each time will be a different experience with a different result. You can also play with it by setting a different intention prior to coloring each one…the results will reflect the different intentions.
For me, I coloured a number of my mandalas more than once…sometimes three times…and once I coloured the same mandala SEVEN times! Usually what happens is that while I’m colouring one, I’ll notice something new about the design that inspires me to colour the next one with that new idea as my focus.
Give it a try!
