This week’s MotD theme: Round Critter Faces
I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: Round Critter Faces (from Sunday’s MotD post). Just before painting this owl-like face, I meditated to receive any guidance that would be of benefit. That’s when I noticed the addition of the third ovoid shape and the addition of the loop-to-loops.
I also saw the blue eye and the green eye, with the “whites” of the eyes being more of a soft blending of muted colors. I saw the outside “feathers” being pastel versions of the seven chakras. In the end I added white highlights using a white paint pen. All in all I like how it turned out.
Inspiration for Today
Looking at this abstract owl-like face, it reminds me that my inspiration for this coloring and the additional components came from meditation.
Today’s mandala encourages us to take a few moments to contemplate or meditate on whatever it is we are about to do to allow any additional guidance to come to the surface. We may be delightfully surprised by what or “who” comes to light.
I’m happy to post my colorings however I would really love to share and showcase your colorings here as well. Feel free to send them to me. Or you can post them on my Mandala of the Day Facebook page.
Happy Coloring!
