New Week::New Theme: It’s Not Easy Being Green

New Orleans artist, Amy Sechooler, Nola Mandalas, created this beautiful nature mandala painting as part of her plein air series. I love how she transforms what she sees in nature into a mandala-like form, as well as including mandala-like shapes within the composition. And check out all the lovely shades of green in her painting!

About this piece entitled, Bayou Mandala, Couturie Forest, she states:

This mandala has a ephemeral quality that reflects the emptiness and impermanence of reality, and the non-grasping of inner peace.

Inspiration For Today

Amy’s colorful mandala inspires us to spend more time in nature, especially areas with a variety of green colors…from lights to darks, from yellow greens to blue greens.

Happy Coloring!
