This week’s MotD theme: A Rose is a Rose

This stunning beauty comes to us via Bruce and Yanti Briscoe from their garden in Bali. What an exquisite mix of colors, from the center’s warm golden glow, to the cooler, brighter whites and pinks. Lovely!

In search of the meaning of these rose colors, I mixed individual meanings that seemed to click for this rose into one idea: white (silence) + yellow (joy) + pink (grace) = Graceful, Joyful Silence.

Inspiration for Today

Yanti’s gorgeous rose reminds of the old adage “silence is golden”. When in doubt, be silent in a state of grace and joy.

If we must speak, silently run it through three more filters to gracefully decide whether to speak up, modify the message, or remain silent:

is it true?
is it kind?
is it necessary?
