This week’s MotD theme: Round Homes
I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: Round Homes (from Sunday’s MotD post). I felt inspired to play with my pearlescent watercolor paints for this mandala. Unfortunately, the iridescent quality is difficult of notice in the scan of it. Overall, it has a futuristic, outer space, “The Jetsons” feel about it. It’s light and serious at the same time. I could see the on warm, comfy, cozy flannel pajamas.
I used pearlescent watercolors and gel pens for this painting.
Inspiration for Today
We’re told that home is where the heart is which tells us that our feeling of “home” comes from the inside instead of from some structure outside of our bodies. We could live in the beautiful of mansions and be totally miserable or in a tent at the woods and feel safe and comfortable.
This mandala reminds us when we feel at home (safe, warm, comfortable, at peace) in our bodies, we’ll feel at “home” regardless of our physical location.
Happy Coloring!
