This week’s MotD theme: Tis the Season for Peace
I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: Tis the Season for Peace (from Sunday’s MotD post). I knew before I even started painting that the peace symbol would be green (heart chakra color) with some kind of yellow mixed in. I also knew the flowers would be different colors. Three hours later this is how it turned out. I love all the vibrant as well as muted colors. It feels alive and thriving.
I used M. Graham watercolors and a sakura yellow gel pen.
Inspiration for Today
Just as all these diverse flowers joyfully and peacefully coexist in this mandala, so can we joyfully and peacefully coexist on Earth.
“Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.” ~ John F. Kennedy
Happy Coloring!
