22-217 Emergence

Today’s Mandala
Emergence

“Exceptional leaders
don’t impart just vision,
rather they cultivate
the emergence of vision.”

— Sudan Murty

“One way to find food for thought
is to use the fork in the road,
the bifurcation that
marks the place of emergence
in which a new line of development
begins to branch off.”

— William Irwin Thompson

“Everything that’s created
comes out of silence.
Your thoughts emerge
from the nothingness of silence.
Your words come out of this void.
Your very essence
emerged from emptiness.
All creativity requires some stillness.”

— Wayne Dyer

Today’s MotD inspires to emerge from behind whatever veils of limitations (fears) we’ve placed in our way and to allow ourselves to let our light shine as we are all meant to do.

Marianne Williamson powerfully says it bests with her “Our deepest fear” prayer:

“Our deepest fear is not
that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that
we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves,
‘Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small
does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened
about shrinking,
so that other people
won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
as children do.
We were born to make manifest
the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;
it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically
liberates others.”

— Marianne Williamson
