Today’s Mandala
Inspire

“Don’t be scared to fly high,
’cause it will inspire others.”

— Kerli

“Our chief want
is someone who will inspire us
to be what we know we could be.”

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Creative thinking inspires ideas.
Ideas inspire change.”

— Barbara Januszkiewicz

Today’s MotD inspires us to inspire and be inspired. For instance today’s mandala design was inspired by the most recent Instagram post from Ankita PD Dey (@ankitapdey). Her beautiful mandalas make use of a wide variety of more traditional patterns. She shared a video demonstrating some of them. The one that caught my eye is the one I used in today’s mandala. While she used a black ink pen, I felt inspired to use a white ink pen; it gives is a lacy effect.

Our challenge becomes threefold and are presented as questions: 1) in what way(s) are we an inspiration to others? 2) in what way(s) are we inspired by others? and 3) who inspires us?

It can be difficult sometimes to be inspired by others who do the same thing we do. It can bring up some limiting beliefs (judgements, jealousy, comparisons) around worthiness or not-good-enough-ness. When these beliefs surface, it’s a great time to acknowledge them instead of stuffing them. It’s a great time to breathe into these feelings. It’s a great time to remind ourselves that what we do is unique to us, our style, our take on it, our perspective. Embrace that and allow ourselves to appreciate and be inspired by others…while also being an inspiration.
