Curiosity

“We keep moving forward,
opening new doors,
and doing new things,
because we’re curious and
curiosity keeps leading us
down new paths.”

— Walt Disney

“The important thing is
not to stop questioning.
Curiosity
has its own reason
for existing.”

— Albert Einstein

“Once we believe in ourselves,
we can risk curiosity, wonder,
spontaneous delight, or any experience
that reveals the human spirit.”

— e. e. cummings

Today’s MotD inspires us to be curious. Curiosity allows us to play the “what if” game. “What if I try this?” “What if I go over there?” “What if I turn left?” It also allows us to experience different aspects of our lives from a place of wonder; what’s this? what’s that? look over there, how did they do that? why?

The state of curiosity stimulates our creativity, giving us new perspectives, new ideas, new ways of doing things. Our challenge becomes keeping our curiosity alive during our day-to-day lives.

If you need help with this, NaturalTraining.com offers 10 great habits of curious people you can adapt and adopt naturally for yourself. Here are a couple of them:

  1. Listen without judgement
  2. Ask questions relentlessly
  3. Willing to be wrong
  4. Stay in the moment
  5. Aren’t afraid to say “I don’t know”

“Replace fear of the unknown
with curiosity.”

— unknown
