Today’s Mandala
Echo
“Our echoes roll
— Alfred Lord Tennyson
from soul to soul,
And grow for ever
and for ever.”
“Life is an echo.
— Zig Ziglar
What you send out comes back.
What you sow, you reap.
What you give, you get.
What you see in others,
exists in you.”
“Kind words can be short
— Mother Teresa
and easy to speak,
but their echoes
are truly endless.”
Today’s MotD encourages us to be aware of what we put out in the world; even the smallest of words or actions can cause a dramatic effect…similar to the idea behind the butterfly effect. From DecisionLab.com about the Butterfly Effect: “The butterfly effect rests on the notion that the world is deeply interconnected, such that one small occurrence can influence a much larger complex system. The effect is named after an allegory for chaos theory; it evokes the idea that a small butterfly flapping its wings could, hypothetically, cause a typhoon.”
It really comes down to the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It may even be broader and simpler than that, though,… we are encouraged that with whatever we put out in the world…let to come from a place of Love and Light…the rest will take care of itself.
“It’s important to be conscious
— Alex Gaskarth
of the world we live in.
We get one chance,
as far as I’m concerned,
but we all leave an echo.
It’s important that our echo
resonates positively on the planet
and its inhabitants
after we’re gone.”
