Today’s Mandala
Bluebells
“Enchanting and iconic,
— WoodlandTrust.org
bluebells are a favourite with the fairies
and a sure sign spring is in full swing.”
“Show your bluebell passion
— Isabel Yosito
with every step you take.
Infuse your corporeal mind,
body and spirit
with atomic sense of urgency,
purpose and apple juice.”
“A bouquet of bluebells,
— Terri Windling
picked with gratitude
and tended with care,
confers the faeries’ blessings
on the household
and “sweetens” spirits
sagging after a long winter.”
Today’s MotD encourages us to embrace the essence of the flowers known as bluebells. Even though technically bluebells look a lot different than they do in this mandala, we’re talking mostly about their essence.
From WoodlandTrust.org: “In the language of flowers, the bluebell is a symbol of humility, constancy, gratitude and everlasting love. It is said that if you turn a bluebell flower inside-out without tearing it, you will win the one you love, and if you wear a wreath of bluebells you will only be able to speak the truth.“
While they are known for their faerie mythology, our challenge becomes honor this delicate blossom by practicing humility, gratitude, and truth.
A fine and subtle spirit dwells
— Anne Bronte
In every little flower,
Each one its own sweet feeling breathes
With more or less of power.
There is a silent eloquence
In every wild bluebell
That fills my softened heart with bliss
That words could never tell.
Blessings,
