23-111 Getting Better All The Time #6

Today’s Mandala Message: Look For Patterns

This week I’m working through Principles #19 and #20 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Use Feedback to Your Advantage” and “Commit to Constant and Never-Ending Improvement”, respectively. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of looking for patterns. And because of that, I created different sets of color patterns within today’s mandala. About patterns Canfield states: “…you should look for patterns in the feedback you get. … if several people are telling you the same thing, there is probably some truth in it.”

While doing a small art fair with my mandala art one day years ago, several people throughout the day said to me “you should make these into coloring books”…”have you thought about making coloring books out of these” … “It’s too bad you don’t have these in a coloring book, I’d buy it.” After about the fourth or fifth time this happened, I finally replied (out loud)…”Okay, Universe, I get it. I need to create mandala coloring books.” I wound up creating 20 different coloring books, all with different themes…they were well received. I’m so glad I paid attention to the feedback.

So how about you? Have you ever noticed a pattern in the feedback you’ve received? Do you resist it? Do you see it as coincidence or do you see it as … “hey I better pay attention and follow through”?

begins with the
understanding of patterns.”
