Today’s Mandala Message: End of the Day Assessment

This week I’m working through Principle #27 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Keep Your Eye on the Prize”. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of assessing my day at the end of the day. Canfield states: “An important part of any focusing regimen is to set aside time at the end of the day—just before going to sleep—to acknowledge your successes, review your goals, focus on your successful future, and make specific plans for what you want to accomplish the next day.”

I sorta do this already. I keep a “today’s wins” journal where I list my wins for the day in every area of my life. What I need to consider adding is reviewing my goals and determining what I want to accomplish tomorrow. I can see where pondering that just before sleep can set me up for the morning where I’m ready to hit the ground running.

A good mindfulness practice would be to review your day at the end of the day.

So how about you? Do you track your wins? Do you have a “just before sleep” routine? Do you consider what you want to do for tomorrow?

“At the end of the day,
let there be no excuses,
no explanations,
no regrets.”
