In continuing my focus to showcase local (to me) paper artist on the MotD, I present Jeanne Heywood, of Sage Leaf Designs, who handcrafts these amazing paper puzzle boxes. What’s cool about this particular piece is that each of the individual pieces within this is a box in and of itself. AND…you can re-arrange the boxes three different ways…hence the puzzle part. Even the cover to this box is a work of art.
While Mother Nature creates the most beautiful snowflakes you could ever imagine…they are, however, only fleeting and challenging to capture and save. Then along comes SuperCoolio to save the day with his DIY super-cool easy 6 pointed snowflake project that allows us to make our own snowflakes to keep forever (or at least longer than one winter).
I love when I can showcase a DIY mandala-like project. Marzi of MadeByMarzipan.com shows us (via video and written instructions) how to make these beautiful roses using 4 coffee filters, some watercolor paint, florist tape and wire. She even provides the free PDF pattern to download/print.
