114 – Sea Glass Mandala
When I first spotted Jonathan Fuller’s art, I thought he used paper to create it. Upon closer inspection I realized that he uses sea glass he collects along the coastline of Cornwall in the UK where he lives.

And now for something completely different I give you a design map of Palmanova, Italy founded and built in the late 1500’s. From what I gather, they designed the city as a fortress with the intention of it being a Utopia.

I found this cute wreath project on the Fabric Textile Warehouse web site. What a fun way to make use of old, neglected spools of thread…come on, you know you have a shoe box full of varying lengths of thread laying around the house somewhere.

Oregon artist, Jeff Hess, likes for people to experience his art/photography without actually knowing what it is or what’s going on. I found this out when I asked him for more information about this object that I found as part of his “In Pursuit of Gravity” collection. He’d rather we enjoy it instead of trying to figure it out.

While checking through my facebook news feed, I spotted this photo of a passion flower taken by my Floridian friend, Jim Casper. The colors and complexity of the blossom immediately caught my attention.
