Now go within to discover in your mind the Self Who is the holy Son of God Himself [or: the holy creation of the Universe]. If you struggle to make the connection, allow yourself to be willing to discover the Self. Our willingness is like opening a door when a guest rings the doorbell. We may not be ready to let them in but at least we’re willing to hear what they have to say.

*  The Course defines “God” as an impersonal, formless, and infinite principle of pure Love. Substitute whatever term that resonates best and allows you to receive the message.

Message

“I am as God created me” has come up throughout the Course in different ways. It’s a key point the Course wants us to grasp because it’s the birthplace of miracles. From this place, we can more readily accept everything the Course teaches.

As stated in the lesson…

“In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future. ²If you are as God created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from His, no split between your mind and other minds, and only unity within your own.” (ACIM, W-110.4:1-2)

During the first practice period, I felt a beautiful golden light of energy—like booster rockets on a spaceship. It made me feel like anything I wanted to do or be was within reach. It was almost too powerful to handle.

Coming out of it, I could sense my ego-mind wanting to tear that idea apart with fear and limiting beliefs. That’s probably why the Course has us practice every hour. We’re breaking down old programming that no longer serves.

As God’s creations, we are love and light. Our function is to be that love and light while helping others be the love and light they are.

Holding back isn’t an option… unless we want to play it safe. Where’s the fun in that?

Yesterday’s idea—I rest in God—calmed me whenever I remembered to recite it. Today’s idea builds on that and empowers me with an unstoppable “make it happen” energy.
