257 – Cathedral de Barcelona Mandala
This beautiful mandala resides on the facade of the Cathedral Basilica of Barcelona probably the most renowned “work in progress” on the planet. Pamela Unplugged visited Barcelona in 2013 and captured this great shot of the mandala above the main entrance to the cathedral. Actually her original photo captured the whole facade and because of the photo’s size, I could zero in on the mandala without loosing the quality of the image.
250 – The Louvre Mandalas
American photographer, Virginia Jones, shot this image of the archways leading into the Cour Carrée which is part of The Louvre Palace complex in Paris, France. Look at these splendid mandalas adorning the insides of these arches.
237 – RedBall Mandala
I heard about the RedBall Project years ago created by Kurt Perschke who works in sculpture, video, collage and public space. This 15′ high playful ball travels the globe visiting cities where it becomes wedge in different locations for different periods of time for all to enjoy who happen upon it.

This magnificent floor of Islamic design can be found in the lobby of the Umaid Bhawan Palace, located at Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India and photographed here by behome.com as part of their blog post: Objects We Love.
232 – Chicago’s Mandalas
Back in the 1960’s when Marina City, designed by architect, Bertrand Goldberg, was first being built in Chicago, its towers were the first circular apartment buildings in history; as well as being both the tallest concrete structures and tallest residential towers in the world. “More importantly, they were an experiment in a new urban philosophy: building a city within a city.”
223 – Halls Hill Labyrinth Mandala
Portland, Oregon builder of gardens, Jeffrey Bale, created this amazing 11-circuit stone labyrinth on Bainbridge Island in Washington State. Based on his blog site, he started this project around September 2013 and completed it around May 2014.
