How fun is this! Rocky Road Backpackers of South Africa posted this photo with their blog post promoting a friend’s project to build these beautiful chairs from old tires.

191 – Orpheus Mandala
Continuing her travels in Morocco, my friend Michelle, visited the archeological site of Volubilis where she photographed this Roman mosaic of Orpheus and wild animals in the House of Orpheus, which dates back to 300 AD.
188 – Tie Dye Mandala
Mr. Tie Die, Carl E. McClellan, created this beautiful tie dyed Flower of Life mandala. What an achievement. It’s bold, it’s powerful and I love the use of rainbow colors. It begs the question (a question he’s most often asked)…How did he do that?
184 – Adinatha Mandala
British photographer Beth Moon captured this amazing mandala ceiling photograph at the Adinatha Jain Temple at Ranakpur while on a “2-week trip to Delhi and Rajasthan with Explore in March 2010.”
183 – Corgi Go Round Mandala
Today’s MotD is actually a mandala in motion. It’s a video of this adorable corgi who just LOVES to go round and round and round on the carousel. So along with the carousel being mandala-like, so is the movement of the carousel and the corgi, yet both going in opposing directions.
179 – Bicyclette Mandala
I’ve had the idea for quite some time now to showcase a bicycle as a mandala of the day because structurally it consists of 3 mandala-like forms: two wheels and the pedal/gear thingy. I was holding out for just the right image and then I saw this photo by Virginia Jones of Paris Through My Lens blog site.
177 – Ratatouille Mandala
This gorgeous ratatouille casserole comes courtesy of 12Tomatoes.com. I love how all the veggies are cut in equally round shapes: zucchini, bell peppers, and eggplant. Even the casserole dish is a lovely round shape.
