Ever since I first laid eyes on the phantasmagorical mixed media collages of Philomath artist Judith Sanders, I became one of her biggest fans. Wow! It first it may seem like this painting is overloaded and yet it’s so delightful to just be with it and take it all in.

Today’s MotD showcases another wonderful local artist, Linda J. Herd, of Albany, OR. She makes exquisite metal jewelry in a very bold, dramatic style. I find these beautiful earrings a wonderful example of creating a powerful expression of mandala art in a delicate size. These would be super fun to wear!

Marawa the Amazing holds the world record for hula-hooping 150 hoops at one time! I still need to learn how to do it with just one hoop…how does she do it? She can also roller skate in high heels whilst hooping – but she prefers to do it separately. She truly IS amazing!
