Saw this delightful mandala last week on Instagram from self_pollinate. Just by looking at it I can tell that it must have put Janelle in a wonderful active meditative state while making it. It feels joyful and calming.

100 – Geometry of Humans Mandala
For MotD number 100, I wanted to showcase something special…important. When I found this image, I knew I had the perfect one for today.
It represents the geometry of a cross section of human DNA…that stuff of which we humans are made. While the science behind this image is fascinating, for the purposes of today’s post, I want to focus on the art and beauty of it.
99 – Leaves & Stones Mandala
When I see images of nature-inspired mandalas, it takes my breath away. The little kid voice in me says “I wanna do that!”
And that was my reaction yet again when I found today’s MotD from photographer & land artist, Dietmar Voorwold, and his remarkable land art creations. My biggest challenge was figuring out which of his pieces to showcase…they all are spectacular.
98 – Sequins Mandala
Paula Brett made this delightful sequins and glitter mandala. Love the sheer playfulness of it along with all the bright colors.
97 – Spires Mandalas
What a delightful find for today’s MotD! This amazing photograph shows us what we rarely see of a very famous, often visited site. What seems so serious a beautiful from its normal view, is actually quite delightful and fun from overhead. How lucky for the birds!
96 – Egg Mandala
75 year-old Slovenian artist, Franc Grom, creates these amazingly delicate and beautiful pieces of 3D art using just a drill and a hollowed-out egg.
95 – Easter Peeps Mandala
For today’s MotD I decided to take a lighter approach and have some fun with it.
At today’s Easter Parade in New York City (4/5/15), ABC News put together a collection of outlandish Easter hats. They all were fun, however, I found this one (#4 of 15) to be the most delectable and colorful as well as most in line with the mandala-like shape…and in 3D form.
