Today’s MotD showcases another wonderful local artist, Linda J. Herd, of Albany, OR. She makes exquisite metal jewelry in a very bold, dramatic style. I find these beautiful earrings a wonderful example of creating a powerful expression of mandala art in a delicate size. These would be super fun to wear!
333 – Wood Orb Mandalas
Korean artist, Jaehyo Lee, created these delightful wooden orbs from discarded wood and tree branches. He assembles various chunks of wood, burns and then carefully polishes them to create visual contrast and a smooth surface. With so many amazing pieces to choose from I decided on this one since today is day 333 in our 365 day calendar.

Then along comes SuperCoolio to save the day with his DIY super-cool easy 6 pointed snowflake project that allows us to make our own snowflakes to keep forever (or at least longer than one winter).
