Today’s Mandala Message: Be Willing to Change Your Mind
This week I’m working through Principle #55 “Be a Class Act”. I set my intention today to ponder being able to change my mind when something isn’t working out. This falls under the MotD from a couple of days ago about “taking responsibility”. I struggle at times admitting when something just isn’t working out the way I expected, I try to do everything I can to make it work. I think it has something to do with my fear of “being wrong” because I have this limiting belief that if I do something wrong, something is wrong with me, that I’m “less than”, “not good enough”, and so on.
Over time I’ve been learning that it’s not the end of the world to be wrong. It doesn’t define me as a person. It just means I mis-calculated, it was a mis-take on what I was wanting to do. A perfect example of today’s message is actually my initial rendition of today’s MotD. I spent about an hour on it and it still needed “something”…it just wasn’t working out. Part of me wanted to keep going on it since I had already put so much time into it. Thankfully, another higher part of me “told” me to start all over…admit that the first one was a mis-take and move on.
The new version, the one you see above, feels so much better and more in alignment with the energy of today’s MotD. It has a soothing feel to it as if to say, it’s okay to admit when something isn’t working out, and it’s ok to try again, to start over.
I debated whether to show the first version because I wasn’t happy with it but today’s message seems to demand that I show it to you. It looks okay and yet I just wasn’t feeling it for today’s MotD.

A good mindfulness practice would be to ponder that sometimes it’s okay to stop where you anre and start all over.
So how about you? Do you tend to plow on through on something that doesn’t seem to be working out? Do you struggle with admitting (or taking responsibility) that something isn’t working? Are you open to starting something over even if you’ve spent a lot of time on it already?
