Along with being an amazing artist and printmaker, I’m happy to showcase Willamette Valley (local) artist, Gale Everett, who creates these fantastic 3D sculptures that I just love. This one especially…look at all those mandalas! She made this one with waxed mulberry paper cones, wire and a hemlock frame. It definitely sparks the imagination…or rather, brain. 🙂
Check out this delightful garden gate art designed and collaboratively built by an amazing local metal artist, Karen Lee-Thompson, of Arts Imaginarium. She also happens to be a wonderful friend, singer, musician, and improv player! AND…she creates exquisite mosaics and precious metal jewelry. Awesome stuff!
Corvallis potter extraordinaire, Cynthia Spencer, of Spencer Work in Clay, created this delightful stacking ceramic sculpture in sunset colors for the outdoors…bringing whimsey to the garden.

Can you see all the mandalas in this delightful painting?!?! Even the sheer curtains have little mandalas on them. I’m thrilled to showcase another amazing Willamette Valley (local) artist, Carrie Tasman and her piece entitled Anemone. I love her art and her use of bold, bright colors…the joy and whimsey that radiate from them, make my heart sing!
I present to you another extraordinary local (to me) artist, Jeff Hess, who creates thought provoking, experiential art such as this one in which he captures light, spots of color, and water in action forming an instant in time where we see many mandalas in the making…either going into, out of, or just right into a circular shape. What an amazing image!
Continuing with the “showcasing local artists” theme, today I share with you this delightful acrylic painting by Corvallis artist and gallery owner, Jennifer Lommers.
