305 – Golden Wheels Mandala
I LOVE today’s MotD…it touches my heart and soul. Here Indonesian photographer Victor Djaja combines the ordinary (bicycle) with the sacred (I Ching Mandala) capturing the full spectrums of yellows, golds, and browns so beautifully, creating a beautiful flow between all the components within the photo.
304 – Trick or Treat Mandala
You can view today’s MotD as a trick of the “eye” or a feast for the palate. For me it’s a treat for my mandala soul. I love the shapes, the colors, and definitely the creative imagination of Kitchen Table Scraps, the fabulous makers of this Creepy Coconut Kiwi Panna Cotta (recipe included!).
302 – Purple Pansy Mandala

291 – Snow Blocks Mandala
British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist, Andy Goldsworthy, created this delightful nature sculpture using blocks of snow to forms these amazing circles. I appreciate the “cool-ness” of his art and at the same time I’m in awe of how he managed to create not just one but four of these pieces. How did he do keep them from collapsing in on themselves?
290 – Pilot Butte Mandala
On a recent trip to Bend, OR, my husband and I discovered that within its boundaries, you can drive (or walk/run) to the top of a 500′ tall extinct volcano known as Pilot Butte. It’s our MotD because from an aerial view, we can see that it forms a mandala…around the base and at the observation plateau at the top.
