Amalia Bussard created this wholesome bowl of healthy food and turned it into a beautiful work of mandala art…almost too pretty to eat!

58 – Notre Dame Rose Window Mandala
Some of the grandest mandalas can be found in the stained glass rose windows of churches and cathedrals. This one for today’s MotD is particularly spectacular: the south window at Paris’s Notre Dame Cathedral.
57 – Rigoni Tattoo Mandala
Rather than being a straight-forward line drawing, this tattoo by Australian artist, Chris Rigoni, uses thousands of dots and a bit of color to create this compelling mandala.
56 – Crochet Mandala
How cool is this! A crocheted mandala by Marinke that looks like a stained glass window. I’ve been crocheting doilies for years using the typical thin white thread. Marinke has taken it to a whole new level, using a larger weight yarn, bold colors AND using overstitching. Just beautiful!
55 – Jackfruit Mandala
Up until February 7, 2015, I had yet to experience jackfruit. While participating in the Conscious Life Expo, in L.A. that fateful day, one of the food vendors offered vegetarian food. I was about to pass on them because I have trouble digesting tofu…thinking that that was the main ingredient for their Indian dish. Wrong! They use jackfruit. After a little bit of hesitancy, I opted to try it. Wow! Loved it!
54 – The Oscars Mandala
While watching the academy awards last night, I happened to notice the stage totally decorated in mandalas! For the remainder of the show, I found myself more intrigued with the set than the actual event. I particularly appreciated the golden clusters of mandalas that flanked the stage. Just stunning!
53 – Dreamcatcher Mandala
Here’s another delightful coloring of one of my mandala designs by my dear friend, Celia. I love how she puts her heart and soul into her colorings. Her use of colors and glittering pens is so her…very vibrant and alive.
