In keeping with the Halloween theme, today we showcase two “monster” stars kissing as they head to their doom. Luís Calçada’s rendering of this kiss gives us two beautiful blue fire ball stars with lots of swirls very similar to Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting.
Rhodes Bake & Serv presents these fun, mini mummy pizza treats. What a cute idea. And check out all the mandala-like shapes: the pizza, the olives, the holes in the olive, and the beautiful black & orange plates with the black dots.
From Saffi, of Saffi Land, we have this beautiful neutral-colored mandala which she created based on a picture of a beautiful carved wall tile from the Alhambra Palace in Spain. I love how Saffi took a very complex image and turned it into a delicate mandala, making it more soothing with the warm earthy colors.
Pacific Northwest artist, Helga Winter, created this beautiful bowl by hand turning an unseasoned piece of Pacific Madrone on a wood lathe, shaping it round, and then allowing it to dry/warp as it turns back to its own shape. She then uses dyes and patterns to “invite a closer look.”
