Rhodes Bake & Serv presents these fun, mini mummy pizza treats. What a cute idea. And check out all the mandala-like shapes: the pizza, the olives, the holes in the olive, and the beautiful black & orange plates with the black dots.

293 – Wooden Vessel Mandala
Pacific Northwest artist, Helga Winter, created this beautiful bowl by hand turning an unseasoned piece of Pacific Madrone on a wood lathe, shaping it round, and then allowing it to dry/warp as it turns back to its own shape. She then uses dyes and patterns to “invite a closer look.”
292 – Mammatus Mandala
I found this great photo of mammatus (round puffy) clouds on http://www.ItWorksForBobbi.com, a site maintained by Canadian blogger, Bobbi-Jo. Per her blog post, her husband captured this photo after they experienced a severe thunderstorm.
290 – Pilot Butte Mandala
On a recent trip to Bend, OR, my husband and I discovered that within its boundaries, you can drive (or walk/run) to the top of a 500′ tall extinct volcano known as Pilot Butte. It’s our MotD because from an aerial view, we can see that it forms a mandala…around the base and at the observation plateau at the top.
288 – Sand Labyrinth Mandala
Oregon labyrinth designer, Denny Dyke of Circles in the Sand, drew out this fantastic sand labyrinth entitled “Rock My Sol” at Face Rock, Bandon, Oregon, on April 26, 2015. Photographed by Pamela Hansen, this photo captures this beautiful labyrinth, which brings this whole beach to life with its powerful design and energy.
287 – Jupiter Confection Mandala
Australian baker extraordinaire and Zoology graduate, Rhiannon, created this masterpiece of a cake to look just like the planet Jupiter…my favorite planet. Twice in one week now, I am in awe.
279 – City Square Mandala
Mandalma of “Mandal’arte ~ mandalas na natureza” on facebook, recently posted this photo of this large Nature mandala in a section of Lisbon, Portugal; a community project which she organized and facilitated. I love her art and how she paints with nature.
